la plaza historic hotel & restaurant has a charming suite with a small kitchen and living space. the breakfast was delicious, and it's close to three beautiful mountain ranges. we had a very good breakfast included in the price of the room.

There was a cozy ambiance that reminded me of our family dinners, and the breakfast spread was just out of this world. We had homemade pastries with eggs and sausage, it felt like I was back at my mom’s kitchen.

While the pleasant outdoor atmosphere is a joy in fall, the indoor decor reflects a charming historic ambiance that adds character but could benefit from a bit more consistency in service during peak times. The Wi-Fi connection fell short, which impacted connectivity during my stay, but overall, the experience was enjoyable.

After a long drive through a thunderstorm, I arrived at La Plaza somewhat late. The funky lobby immediately drew me in. I found my room small yet cozy, decorated with vintage charm. The common area upstairs had games and books I appreciated. Breakfast was a highlight—lots of delicious options served early to accommodate my plans. It made my stay feel luxurious after camping. The outdoor patio dining was perfect on a sunny day, and the staff were truly welcoming, making me feel at home. One downside, the rooms are on the second floor without an elevator, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the train noise throughout the night took some getting used to. Wi-Fi was spotty at times, but that didn't overshadow the character of the place. This hotel offered an experience that felt personal, including thoughtful touches like coffee available outside the room and delightful dinners in the evening. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back for the character and charm.
